Pizzorno Family Estates Trip
Pick-up at the hotel is at 10 a.m. before heading to the Pizzorno winery, located 12 miles north of Montevideo, to explore the wine culture of Uruguay. Accompanied by an expert sommelier, you will visit Tannat vineyards, regarded as the national grape of Uruguay, and learn about its cultivation and transformation into local wine.
After this, we will proceed to the winery to taste the local wine paired with a selection of regional meats. The sommelier will explain the differences between the wines, highlighting their characteristics and aromas. Return to the hotels in Montevideo is around 2 p.m.
Tour with food
When booking, there is an option to complement your tour with food at the winery. Enjoy a complete menu with a starter, main course, and dessert, all paired with quality wines. The sommelier will recommend the best pairing for each dish, such as roast beef with Tannat or a late harvest wine with dessert.
