Camarga, Saintes Maries de la Mer + Aigues-Mortes Day Trip

On this day trip to the Camargue, Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, and Aigues-Mortes, visit the pink lagoon, a walled city, and a 13th-century watchtower!

Day Trip from Montpellier

At the appointed time, we'll meet at the Odysseum Shopping Center in Montpellier, and hop on a minibus to commence a tour of the Occitania region. After a 28 km (17.3-mile) journey, we'll arrive at the walled city of Aigues-Mortes to explore the city center and its well-preserved walls.

If you take the tour between April and October, we'll ride a small train to the Salines de la Camargue to see the vibrant pink water. For tours between November and March, we will visit the Espiguette Lighthouse to observe typical Camargue birds and landscapes of rice fields and marshes.

Next, we'll head to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer to explore the historic center, including its Romanesque church and the revered Black Virgin from the 10th century.

Our final stop will be at the Torre Carbonnière for panoramic views of the surrounding marshes and rice paddies. After approximately 8 hours, we will return to the meeting point, concluding the tour.
