On this day trip to the Camargue, Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, and Aigues-Mortes, visit the pink lagoon, a walled city, and a 13th-century watchtower!

Day Trip from Montpellier

At the appointed time, we'll meet at the Odysseum Shopping Center in Montpellier and board a minibus for a tour of the Occitania region in the south of France. After a 28 km (17.3-mile) journey, we'll arrive at the walled city of Aigues-Mortes, where we'll explore the city center and its well-preserved protective walls.

If you take the tour between April and October, we'll board a small train for a tour of the Salines de la Camargue, featuring vibrant pink water. If you join the excursion between November and March, we'll visit the Espiguette Lighthouse to see typical Camargue birds and landscapes of rice fields and marshes.

Next, we'll head to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer to explore its historic center, including a Romanesque church and the revered Black Virgin from the 10th century.

Finally, we'll stop at the Torre Carbonnière to ascend for panoramic views of the surrounding marshes and rice paddies before returning to Montpellier after 8 hours, concluding the tour.
