Cirque de Navacelles Day Trip
We'll meet at 9 am at the Mosson tram station and board a minibus to Hérault, one of the regions of Occitania, specifically the Larza plateau.
Our first stop will be at the foot of Mont Saint Baudille, where we'll begin to appreciate the natural beauty of the South of France. The route will continue towards the Cirque de Navacelles gorge, characterized by cliffs standing at 984 ft (300 m) tall. We'll visit the Baume d'Auriol or Blandas viewpoint, depending on the group size, to admire the gorge.
As we approach the cirque, we'll see the picturesque village of Navacelles, where houses are built on the rock by the waterfalls of the river Vis, creating a memorable image.
We'll have a break to allow you to have lunch on your own in this scenic area, accompanied by the sound of waterfalls. We recommend bringing a picnic-style lunch.
In the afternoon, a short walk along the banks of the Vis will take us to the well-known mills of La Foux, near the village of Vissec.
Finally, after a short stop for scenic views of the Gardois, we'll return to Montpellier at 4 pm.
