Exploration of Morelia
We will convene at the scheduled time on Avenida Francisco I. Madero, where our guided exploration of Morelia will begin. Are you prepared? Let’s embark!
Initially, we will stroll through the historic heart of the city, experiencing its Baroque-style structures crafted from pink stone, notably the Metropolitan Cathedral of Morelia, which stands as an iconic landmark of the town.
Our journey will continue as we delve into Morelia's rich history and cultural heritage, appreciating key examples of colonial architecture, including the Cathedral, the University of Morelia, the historic Jesuit School, the Plaza de Armas, and the Palacio de Justicia.
Next, we will pause at the Conservatory of Las Rosas, established in 1743 and known for its pink stone arches, recognized as the first conservatory in America. We will also take a tour of the Morelos Birthplace Museum, where we will explore the legacy of one of the key figures in the Mexican Independence.
Our tour will conclude at this final location after two enriching hours.
