Your adventure begins at 7 am with a pickup from your accommodation in Morelia, setting off for the Sierra Chincua Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary. The journey will span approximately two and a half hours.

Upon arrival, we will disembark from the minibus and venture onto the trails, searching for the enchanting monarch butterflies. These exquisite creatures embark on a remarkable migration, traveling vast distances from the northern United States and Canada to this serene haven of fir, pine, and oyamel trees.

About halfway through our explorations, we'll pause for a one-hour break to enjoy some snacks. Afterwards, we will continue traversing the stunning Chincua mountain range and the area around Tlalpujahua to observe the butterfly colonies. Remarkably, these butterflies boast a wingspan of 11 centimeters and weigh no more than half a gram, yet their role in pollination is vital for Mexico's forests.

At the monarchs’ nesting site, you will have the opportunity to see eggs, caterpillars, and chrysalises. Here, you'll have one hour of free time to enjoy lunch. Refreshed, we will commence our return journey, reaching the starting point in approximately 40 minutes.

To conclude, we will transport you back to your hotel in Morelia, with an expected arrival time of 10 pm.
