Sail along a colossal reservoir and admire its hundred-year-old oak trees. With this boat trip on Lake Alqueva, you will see some of inland Portugal's most beautiful scenery.
Alqueva Lake Boat Trip
We will meet at the time of your choice at the Alqueva reservoir, where a boat will be ready to take us on a tour of one of the largest artificial lakes in Europe. During the journey, we will learn about the history of the dam and the biodiversity of the Guadiana river. We will pass the idyllic Herdade Monte da Tapada hill and the mouth of the river Degebe, which flows into the reservoir. We will sail around the picturesque small islands of the lake. If the weather permits, a swimming stop may be included. After the boat trip of an hour and a half, a visit to the Alqueva Interpretation Centre is available, featuring a documentary on the area's changes due to the dam and its water supply.
