Sail along a colossal reservoir and admire its hundred-year-old oak trees. With this boat trip on Lake Alqueva, you will see some of inland Portugal's most beautiful scenery.

Alqueva Lake Boat Trip

We will meet at the time of your choice at the Alqueva reservoir, where a boat will be ready to take us on a tour of one of the largest artificial lakes in Europe. During the journey, we will learn about the history of the dam and the biodiversity of the Guadiana river. The tour will pass by the charming Herdade Monte da Tapada hill and the mouth of the river Degebe. We will explore the small islands of the lake and, if the weather permits, find a place to swim. After a boat trip of an hour and a half, you can visit the Alqueva Interpretation Centre, which features a documentary on the changes in this area of Portugal due to the dam and its water supply.
