On this private hiking tour in Morro de Calzada, we will explore the natural landscapes of the Alto Mayo and learn about the local flora and fauna.

At 10 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in Moyobamba and travel to Morro de Calzada to begin our hiking route. Upon arrival, we will ascend more than 500 meters up Morro de Calzada while discussing the cloud forest of the high jungle, which hosts several ecosystems.

We will stop at the Interpretation Center to learn about the fauna and flora of Morro de Calzada through photos and infographics. Endemic species include the pichico monkey, titi monkey, and barn owl.

Continuing the hike, we will share legends of Alto Mayo, including the tale of the stone man.

In the final section of the tour, we will visit the Silla del Curaca viewpoint and the Allcamayo waterfall, where you can swim in its waters. We will also enjoy a typical Peruvian dish for lunch.

The tour concludes with a return to your hotel in Moyobamba at 2 pm.
