Day Trip Details

We will pick you up at your hotel in Moyobamba and drive by minibus to the Tingana Ecological Reserve. You're about to visit a flooded forest!

After a 2-hour drive, we'll arrive at our destination, where we'll enjoy a local breakfast. Then, we'll take a boat across the Mayo and Avisado rivers, which flow through the Tingana Reserve.

During the boat ride, we'll admire the flora and fauna of the reserve, including woodpeckers, monkeys, sloths, and afaninga snakes. We'll share interesting facts about these animals and point out the different shapes of the trees.

We'll return to land for a lunch prepared over a wood fire, featuring a typical dish and a drink. Afterward, we'll visit Finca Don Pepito, a farm within the Tingana reserve, to learn about coffee, cacao, and vanilla plantations, and tour a small orchid farm.

After approximately 9.5 hours, we'll conclude the day trip, returning to your hotel.
