Details of the Day Trip

At the scheduled time, you will be collected from your hotel in Moyobamba and transported via minibus to the Tingana Ecological Reserve. Get ready to explore a fascinating flooded forest!

After approximately two hours on the road, we will reach our destination, where a delightful local breakfast awaits you. Following this, we will board a boat to navigate the Mayo and Avisado rivers, two vital waterways running through the Tingana Reserve.

While on the boat, enjoy the opportunity to observe the diverse flora and fauna surrounding you. The local wildlife includes woodpeckers, monkeys, sloths, afaninga snakes, and many more species. We will share intriguing details about these creatures and point out the unique shapes of the tree species found in the reserve.

After our aquatic adventure, we will return to solid ground for a delicious lunch cooked over an open flame. The meal will feature a traditional dish paired with a beverage. Subsequently, we will head to Finca Don Pepito, a farm integral to the Tingana reserve, where you will discover the process of cultivating coffee, cacao, and vanilla, alongside a visit to a small orchid farm.

Concluding our enriching journey, after around 9.5 hours, we will return you to your hotel.
