Routes and Stops

Thanks to the Munich sightseeing bus, Big Bus, you'll have a unique perspective of the city. It has two routes with stops at key attractions in Munich, including the Marienplatz, Stachus, Nymphenburg Palace, and Olympiapark. The double-decker bus allows you to tour the city at your own pace, hopping on and off at any stop as many times as you like. Recorded commentaries are available in English.

Important locations on the two routes include:

Green Line: Karlsplatz, Odeonsplatz, Eisbach River, Deutsches Museum, Marienplatz, Max-Joseph-Platz.Orange Line: Karlsplatz, Nymphenburg Palace, Olympiapark/BMW Welt & Museum, Schwabing.

Options

You can choose from the following options:

24-hour ticket: Unlimited access to the Big Bus Green Line for 24 hours.Full 24-hour ticket: Includes both lines (green and orange) with unlimited access for 24 hours.Full 48-hour ticket: Unlimited access for 48 hours on both routes.

How does it work?

The ticket is valid for 24 or 48 hours from the first use. For example, a 48-hour ticket used on Monday at 3 PM will be valid until Wednesday at 3 PM. You can hop on and off the buses as often as desired. A start date is requested when booking, but the service can be used within 6 months. A voucher will be sent via email, to be presented on the first bus.

Please note the following timetables:

Green line

Times: Daily from 10 AM to 5 PM.Frequency: Every 30 minutes.Total duration of the route: Approximately 1 hour.

Orange line

Times: Daily from 10 AM to 4 PM. The last full route is at 4 PM.Frequency: Every 30 minutes, approximately.Total duration of the route: Approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.
