Although visiting a concentration camp may not be considered 'pleasurable', its historic importance is undeniable. On this excursion, we'll remember some of the most tragic events of the 20th century.

Dachau Concentration Camp

With Hitler's rise to power, a camp for political prisoners was established in Dachau, operating for 12 years. The main installations were completed in March 1933, with the first prisoners arriving the next day. Over 200,000 prisoners passed through the camp, of whom over 40,000 were killed.

After meeting the guide on Dachauer Straße in the morning, we'll travel to the Dachau concentration camp, located 20 kilometers (12 miles) north of Munich. This journey involves taking a train and a bus, taking around 40 minutes.

Upon arrival, we will pass through the same gate as the prisoners, exploring the courtyard, entrance hall, bathrooms, prison, barracks, gas chamber, cremation ovens, and various commemorative monuments.

After learning about the day-to-day life of the prisoners and gaining insight into this dark period of German history, we will return to Munich. The total duration of the trip is between 4 and 5 hours.
