Munich Christmas Markets Food Tour

If you're travelling to Munich in December this year, don't miss out on their world-famous Christmas markets for a traditional festive experience. We'll enjoy a tour of their markets, making food stops along the way to discover Munich's best festive treats!

Tour Details

We'll meet at the indicated time near the Munich Central Train Station (Hauptbahnhof), before setting off on our Christmas Market Food Tour. To kick off the tour, we'll enjoy some delicious gingerbread and a warm cup of mulled wine.

Along our food tour of Munich's best Christmas markets, we'll make a total of 4 food stops, and 2 stops to try festive drinks. We'll get to taste Christmas treats such as sugared almonds, sweet chestnuts and Feuerzangenbowle, a traditional drink that will impress you!

Our first stop will be Marienplatz, Munich's central square that hosts one of the city's most important Christmas markets at this time of year.

We'll also visit the Christmas Village in the palace courtyard of the Kaiserhof der Residenz, where traditional wooden huts create an unbeatable festive atmosphere. The tour also includes a visit to the Kripperlmarkt Manger Market, where you'll find a range of beautiful nativity figures and mangers.

Lastly, we'll visit the Mittelaltermarkt Munchen, Munich's medieval Christmas market, a replica of an authentic German medieval market that features Renaissance dancers and musicians and stall merchants dressed up in medieval costumes.

After a taste of some of Germany's most magical Christmas markets as well as some delicious traditional festive treats, we'll end the tour after a total of 3 hours, still high on Christmas spirit.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

During the tour, participants will have the opportunity to sample a variety of festive food and drinks, with stops strategically placed to maximize the experience. The experience lasts approximately 3 hours, during which time participants will explore key Christmas market locations in Munich.

Meeting Point

The meeting point is located near the Munich Central Train Station (Hauptbahnhof). Please ensure to arrive on time for the start of the tour.
