Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Sonnenstraße 1 in Munich and leave the city heading to the south of Bavaria on a comfortable bus. During the two-hour trip, our English-speaking guide will share fascinating facts about the region.

Our first stop will be at Schloss Linderhof, the Bavarian King's smallest castle, where you'll have the option to enjoy a guided tour, stroll through the grounds, or have tea or coffee.

Next, we'll proceed to Hohenschwangau, allowing time for lunch and to visit Neuschwanstein Castle. We will also view the nearby Hohenschwangau Castle, the childhood home of Ludwig II of Bavaria. We will learn about this historical figure, known as the Mad King, while admiring the castle that inspired Disney's fairytale palace.

On the day of the activity, you can choose to enter Neuschwanstein Castle to see its interior; tickets aren't included but can be purchased from your guide (37EUR for adults, 5EUR for children under 18). The castle is a short uphill walk from the parking area, or you may use a horse-drawn carriage or bus.

After 10.5 hours of exploring German history and architecture, we'll return to Munich, concluding the tour.

Tickets for Neuschwanstein Castle are not included in the trip price. You can purchase these tickets from your guide by card on the day. If you prefer not to visit the interior, you'll have free time to explore the surroundings.
