Birthplace of Mozart, Salzburg is a significant tourist destination in Austria. This tour also covers the Lake District and the setting of the musical "The Sound of Music."

Itinerary

Our tour begins at Karlsplatz 21/Stachus, in front of the Kaufhof Gallery. We will travel from Munich to Austria, skirting the Alps and arriving in Salzburg. This city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, features the gardens of Mirabell palace, the exterior of the house where Mozart was born, the Royal residence, and various Baroque treasures.

After the guided bus tour, you will have free time for lunch, city exploration, or a visit to the castle. On our return journey to Munich, we will traverse the lake district and stop at Wolfgangsee, where you may take a cruise from St. Wolfgang if desired. We will also pass through the picturesque locations from "The Sound of Music" and return to Munich by 7 pm.

Important Information

In November and December, due to poor weather, the cruise is replaced with additional free time in Salzburg. From August to October, roadworks on the motorways can extend travel time, making the cruise occasionally unavailable. The primary goal of the tour is to enjoy Salzburg.
