Birthplace of Mozart, Salzburg is a significant tourist destination in Austria. This tour will also cover the Lake District and the setting of "The Sound of Music."

Itinerary

The tour begins at Karlsplatz 21/Stachus, in front of the Kaufhof Gallery. Departing from Munich, we will travel towards Austria and skirt the Alps, arriving in Salzburg.

In Salzburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we'll visit the Mirabell palace gardens, the exterior of the house where Mozart was born, the Royal residence, and numerous Baroque period treasures.

After the bus tour, you will have free time to eat, explore, or visit the castle.

On the return to Munich, we will pass through the lake district, stopping at one of its popular lakes, Wolfgangsee. You can opt to take a cruise from St. Wolfgang if desired.

We will return to Munich by 7 pm, passing the scenic area from "The Sound of Music."

Important Information

During November and December, the cruise is replaced with additional free time in Salzburg due to weather conditions. From August to October, roadworks may extend travel time, making the cruise sometimes unfeasible, as enjoying Salzburg remains the primary goal of the tour.
