Solheimajokull Ice Climbing & Glacier Hike

We will meet at the glacier parking lot at the indicated time to commence the experience on the Sólheimajökull glacier.

After introductions, a 30-minute hiking route to the glacier begins, during which information about the ice formations will be shared.

Upon reaching Sólheimajökull, equipment will be donned, and the basics of ice climbing will be explained. Climbing the walls and crevasses of the glacier will follow, marking the start of the adventure.

The ice cap is located on the Katla volcano, a significant and active crater in Iceland. On a clear day, views of Eyjafjallajökull, known for disrupting European air traffic due to its 2010 eruption, may be possible.

Following ice climbing, we will hike back to the meeting point, concluding the activity approximately 4 hours after it starts.
