Kanazawa Private Tour
At the specified time, you will be picked up from your hotel or meet at the tourist information centre in Kanazawa to start the tour with a private guide.
The first stop will be Kanazawa train station, showcasing unique Japanese architecture. Next, you'll visit Omicho Market, known for local produce since the Edo period, featuring stalls with fish, seafood, fruits, and sweets.
You will then proceed to Higashi Chaya, the most famous geisha neighbourhood in Japan, and later visit Kanazawa Castle, built in the 16th century by Toshiee Maeda. In the western part, explore the Gyokusen’inmaru garden, previously used for tea celebrations.
The tour continues to Oyama Shrine, a Shinto shrine linked to the Maeda clan, followed by a visit to Kenrokuen Gardens, one of Japan's top three gardens. Stroll through its scenic lakes and paths.
Next, explore the Nagamachi district, the residence of samurais from the 12th to 19th century. The final stop will be the Nishi Chaya District, another renowned geisha neighbourhood with traditional wooden buildings and tea houses.
After approximately 8 hours, you will return to the starting point.
