Full-Day Tour (8.5 Hours)
We’ll meet at Kanazawa Station and board a bus for a scenic journey to the historic village of Shirakawago. This 1-hour ride offers breathtaking landscapes of the Japanese Alps. Upon arrival, you'll see traditional Gassho-zukuri houses, which feature steep thatched roofs designed for heavy snowfall. As you explore the village’s charming streets, you will understand why it is declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Local delicacies such as Hida beef and Doburoku ice cream are available for tasting.
After Shirakawago, we’ll return to Kanazawa and visit Kenrokuen Garden, known for its beautiful landscape, tea houses, bridges, and picturesque views. Next, we will experience Kanazawa’s artistic heritage with a visit to a local artisan. Depending on availability, you may witness Daruma painting or the making of traditional Japanese sweets.
To conclude the day, we’ll explore the Higashi Chaya district, a well-preserved entertainment area where the art of geisha culture remains alive, and discover Kanazawa’s gold leaf postcards. After 8.5 hours of exploration, we’ll return to our starting point.
