Shirakawago and Hirayu Onsen Tour

On this tour, we will explore Japanese rural life by visiting the historic village of Shirakawago and experiencing the hot springs of Hirayu Onsen.

At the agreed time, we will meet at the Shirakawago bus station and take a public bus to begin the tour. Our first stop will be the village of Shirakawago, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its traditional houses with triangular straw roofs, ponds, and rice fields.

Next, we will visit the Wada family home to observe a typical Japanese residence. The guide will share information about household items and tools used in sericulture.

After this visit, we will return to the bus and travel to Hirayu Onsen in the Japanese Alps. The journey will take approximately one hour and a half. Once there, participants will have the opportunity to soak in the thermal pools, which are part of a purification ritual.

Post-soaking, we will take a walk to the Hirayu Waterfalls, enjoying the serene beauty of the natural surroundings.

After approximately 8 hours of touring, the day will conclude with transportation to Takayama station, where we will say our goodbyes.
