Shirakawago and Hirayu Onsen Tour

At the agreed time, we'll meet at the Shirakawago bus station, where we'll take a public bus to start this tour of rural life in Japan.

First, we'll tour the village of Shirakawago to learn about its history. This site is protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, featuring houses with triangular roofs made of straw, ponds, and rice fields.

Then, we'll visit the Wada family home to see what a typical Japanese home looks like. We'll also view various tools related to sericulture. Our guide will provide interesting facts about everything we find.

Afterwards, we'll return to the bus and head to Hirayu Onsen, the thermal village in the Japanese Alps. After a journey of one and a half hours, we'll be able to enjoy a dip in the thermal pools, where soaking is part of a purification ritual.

With our bodies relaxed, we'll take a walk to discover the Hirayu Waterfalls. During the trek, we'll be surrounded by the tranquility of nature and its beauty.

Finally, we'll take you to Takayama station and say our goodbyes after 8 hours of touring.
