At the time of booking, you can choose a guided tour of 20, 45 or 70 minutes, starting from Number 22 Kamininomachi Street at the scheduled time:

20-Minute Tour

This 20-minute tour introduces you to the main parts of the historic centre of Takayama. You'll walk through streets where the oldest houses date back to the 17th century, admire the facade of the Takayama Jinya, and cross the Miyagawa river via the Nakabashi bridge, concluding the tour there.

45-Minute Tour

This option includes a visit to the old town of Takayama and the Yamazakura sanctuary, where you can experience the tranquillity of the area and learn about its history. The tour concludes outside the temple after 45 minutes.

70-Minute Tour

This comprehensive 70-minute tour includes visits to the historical centre, Yamazakura Shrine, and the Hida Kokubun-ji Temple, featuring the city's famous three-storey pagoda and the great ginkgo tree, a thousand-year-old natural monument. The tour ends outside Hida Kokubun-ji Temple.
