Takayama & Shirakawago Day Trip

We'll meet at the west exit of Nagoya Station at the indicated time. After approximately 2 hours by bus, we'll arrive in Takayama, a small city in the Hida Mountains. We'll explore Sannomachi Street in the old town, observing traditional wooden houses and temples. There will be free time for lunch at a recommended local restaurant, followed by visits to the Miyagawa and Jinya-mae markets.

Next, we'll travel to Shirakawago, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to see its buildings with triangular straw roofs, over 250 years old. We can visit the Ogimachi Castle Observatory Deck for views of Gassho-mura and Mount Hakusan, and stop at the popular Ochiudo Cafe.

We'll return to Nagoya, arriving back at the meeting point after 10 hours.

Schedule: this activity starts at 9 am.

Takayama & Shirakawago Day Trip + Viewpoint

This option follows the same itinerary but includes a visit to a viewpoint in Shirakawago after the café stop. Transportation to the viewpoint is via a shuttle bus, included in the tour. This option lasts an additional 30 minutes, with a departure time at 8:30 am.
