Join us on a culinary exploration of Nairobi, where we will unveil the vibrant tastes of Kenya through a delectable array of traditional dishes steeped in local flair!

Description

We will set off from Simba Street at the appointed hour, initiating a gastronomic adventure that showcases the diverse flavors of Nairobi.

Our first stop will be the Highlands Restaurant located in Corner House, where we will gain a deeper understanding of Kenyan culinary traditions. As we walk along Mama Ngnia Street, we will uncover fascinating insights into the history and culture of Kenya, crucial for appreciating the gastronomic traditions of the nation. Here, we will taste iconic dishes from western Kenya, including ugali, ghiteri, brown porridge, and samosas.

After familiarizing ourselves with these traditional flavors, our exploration will continue into the world of Swahili cuisine. We will navigate through Biashara Street, where numerous street stalls present dishes made vibrant by the rich cultural influences of Swahili, Indian, and Arab heritage from Kenya's coastal areas.

To relish these scrumptious offerings, we will stop at a selection of local eateries, each serving a unique interpretation that encapsulates the diverse culinary essence of Kenya.

Our journey will culminate at the Green Apple Restaurant, where we will wrap up our flavorful exploration by indulging in an assortment of local specialties—a fitting conclusion to our culinary escapade!
