On this private tour from Nairobi, we'll climb to the top of Mount Longonot, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, and see the Great Rift Valley.

Description

We will pick you up from your hotel in Nairobi at the scheduled time to begin our journey into the Great Rift Valley.

Our first destination is Mount Longonot National Park. We will drive through the scenic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley, stopping for a lookout to admire views of this geological feature formed over 5 million years ago. This valley stretches from the Red Sea through Ethiopia, Kenya, and Tanzania.

Upon entering the park, we'll start a medium-difficulty hiking route to the Longonot volcano crater. The ascent will take around 5 hours, with breaks for enjoying the views along the way. Once at the summit, we will see Lake Naivasha, Suswa Volcano, Hell's Gate, and the entire Rift Valley.

After taking in the scenic landscapes, we will descend and return to our minibus for the trip to Lake Naivasha, where you will have free time for lunch at a local restaurant.

Following lunch, we will enjoy a boat ride on the lake, providing an opportunity to see hippos and various bird species.

We will then return to Nairobi, concluding the 10-hour excursion with a drop-off at your hotel.
