Northern Kenya 9-Day Private Tour

Join us on a 9-day tour from Nairobi to explore northern Kenya's rich heritage. The journey includes visits to Samburu, Isiolo, Marsabit, Loiyangalani, Ngurunit, and North Horr.

Tour Highlights

Day 1: Nairobi - Isiolo

Welcome to Nairobi! We'll meet you at the airport or hotel lobby to begin our exploration. After breakfast at the Hilton Garden Inn, we'll head to Isiolo, passing through farmland and enjoying views of Mount Kenya. Upon arrival, dinner and rest will be provided at the hotel.

Day 2: Isiolo - Marsabit National Park

After breakfast, we’ll depart for Marsabit National Park, witnessing diverse landscapes. Lunch will be followed by a safari to see zebras and other wildlife, culminating in a hike to Lake Paradise. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel follow.

Day 3: Marsabit National Park - North Horr

Post breakfast, we explore the desert area before heading to North Horr, visiting the Kalacha Oasis. Lunch at the hotel is included, followed by a hike up a sand dune for scenic views. Dinner will be provided.

Day 4: North Horr - Loiyangalani

After breakfast, we will hike through volcanic terrain to Lake Turkana. Lunch at the lodge and a visit to the El Molo tribe to learn about traditional fishing methods follow. We will return to the hotel for the night.

Day 5: Loiyangalani

Following breakfast, we'll visit a Turkana village to explore local craftsmanship and cultural significance. After lunch, a visit to the Desert Museum takes place. Dinner is back at the hotel.

Day 6: Loiyangalani - Ngurunit

After breakfast, we’ll travel to Ngurunit and visit the Wind Power project. Lunch at the lodge will be followed by a camel ride along the Ngurunit River. Dinner will conclude the day at the hotel.

Day 7: Ngurunit - Samburu National Reserve

With an early breakfast, we’ll head to Samburu National Reserve, arriving by midday for lunch before a safari. Wildlife sightings will include antelopes and giraffes, with dinner at the lodge following the day's activities.

Day 8: Samburu National Reserve

The day will focus on in-depth exploration of Samburu, including a visit to a Samburu village. Culture insights and traditional practices will be shared. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge will follow.

Day 9: Samburu National Reserve - Nairobi

After breakfast, we’ll return to Nairobi for drop-off at JKI Airport around 4 PM.

Flight Schedules

For airport pickup, your flight must arrive before 7 am on the first day. For departure on the last day, book a flight after 7 pm.
