Discover Naples' fascinating past—explore the undergrounds of the Basilica of San Lorenzo Maggiore and visit Naples Cathedral.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at your selected meeting point for a journey through Capania's capital.

We will enter the underground and first visit Piazza Tirestre e Trneto to explore the city centre of Naples, admiring sites such as the Teatro San Carlo, Piazza del Plebiscito, and Umberto Gallery.

Next, we will walk along Via Toledo to Piazza Dante. From there, we will continue along Spaccanapoli, the city's main artery, passing by Piazza del Gesù and Piazza San Domenico Maggiore, exploring the different eras of Naples' history, dating back to the Greek period.

We will arrive at the Basilica of San Lorenzo Maggiore, one of the oldest churches in the city. Here, we will descend to view the archaeological excavations, including the remains of the ancient marketplace and structures from the 4th century BC.

After touring the basilica, you will have free time to explore the area before concluding the tour back at the starting point. This tour lasts 4 hours.
