August 24, year 79 A.C.: the ground begins to tremble, the sky blackens, and Vesuvius unleashes its wrath. Join us on a day trip to Pompeii from Naples to relive the history of Pompeii at its fascinating ruins.
Day Trip to Pompeii
At the designated time, we'll depart from the center of Naples and head out on the bus to the archaeological site of Pompeii. After a drive of approximately 40 minutes, we'll arrive at the remains of the ancient Roman city. We will learn of the devastating effects of the volcano, passing through its streets and observing how the ashes covered much of the urban center. The city was buried and forgotten until the 18th century, rediscovered thanks to excavations sponsored by Carlos III. We'll visit the forum and public buildings such as the baths and the lupanar, and the theater, where performances took place. After this 2-hour tour of Pompeii, we will begin the return journey to the pickup point in Naples, with a total duration of 3.5 to 4.5 hours.
