Museo dell'Acqua Guided Tour
We will meet at the specified time in central Piazza Dante and walk to the Museo dell'Acqua. Prepare to explore Naples' undergrounds.
As we descend 35 meters underground (114 feet), we will explore tunnels and galleries. This route reveals the remains of an ancient Greco-Roman aqueduct from when the city was known as Neapolis.
During our visit to the Museo dell'Acqua, we will see the remains of the ancient cistern and the ruins of the largest underground space in Naples, known as the Prince's Pool.
Along the approximately 1-kilometer (0.8 miles) route, we will also observe the area used as an aircraft shelter during World War II bombings.
After 1 hour and 15 minutes, we will return to the surface, concluding our tour.
