Climb to the peak of Mount Vesuvius and enjoy the panoramic views of the Neopolitan bay from the summit of this volcano.

Mount Vesuvius Day Trip

We'll pick you up from the agreed meeting point at the indicated time and head to Torre del Greco, located at the foot of the volcano. We will begin a trail on foot leading to the peak of the mountain, reaching nearly 1,000 metres (3,280 feet) high. The area is historically significant, with a famous eruption occurring in 79 AD that devastated Pompei, Herculaneum, and Stabiae.

During the descent, we'll discuss the eruption and share facts about the volcano, known for its appearances in films and TV series. After the trek, we will return by bus to Naples, with a total duration of 3.5 to 4 hours.

Climbing Mount Vesuvius

The ascent to Mount Vesuvius is on foot up to an altitude of approximately 1,200 metres (3,937 feet). Those with mobility issues can wait at the rest point at the base of the mountain. In case of adverse weather, if the crater is closed, we will stop at a viewpoint for photos.

Language

During the bus ride, an English-speaking guide will provide information about Vesuvius. However, during the foot climb, you will be accompanied by one of the park's guides, and an English-speaking guide is not guaranteed.

Pickup

When booking, you can select a pickup location: your hotel in Naples, the cruise terminal, or the central station (outside Star Hotel Terminus in Plaza Garibaldi).
