Visit two symbolic areas in Naples with this Castle Tour. You'll explore the Borgo Marinari and the Castel Nuovo to uncover their historical significance.

Description

At your chosen time, we will meet outside the Castel dell'Ovo, the oldest fortress in Naples, and explore its 2,000-year history as a defensive structure, prison, and royal residence. We will admire its exterior while discussing its past and its name, along with views of the Tyrrhenian Sea and Mount Vesuvius.

Next, we will continue to Borgo Marinari, a picturesque port on the islet of Megaride, and discover the significance of its marina activities.

From there, we will proceed to the Castel Nuovo, passing notable sites such as Piazza del Plebiscito, the Royal Palace, the San Carlo Theatre, and the Humberto I Gallery.

As we approach the New Castle, built between 1279 and 1282, its large towers and imposing walls will become visible. Inside, we will visit the Capella Palatina, which houses beautiful frescoes, and explore the Civic Museum, including the Sala de Los Barones.

After approximately 3 hours of exploration, the tour will conclude back at the starting point.
