Naples National Archaeological Museum Private Tour
At 10 am, we'll meet outside the National Archaeological Museum. Accompanied by a guide, we'll enter this 16th-century building to explore its extensive collection of artefacts.
For an hour and a half, we'll tour the various rooms of the museum, which are spread over four floors. Our first stop will be the Farnese collection to view its sculptures of the ancient Roman Empire. We will discuss the beliefs of this civilization and provide insights about the artworks on display.
Next, we will visit the rooms dedicated to Pompeii and Herculaneum. Through a large collection of mosaics, papyrus, and everyday utensils, we will discover the lifestyle of these cities prior to the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.
The museum also displays vases, jewellery, coins, and treasures from ancient Greece and ancient Egypt. After 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours of touring, we will conclude our guided tour. You may then continue exploring the museum at your leisure.
