Experience the fascinating historical site of Pompeii and delve into the archaeological treasures of Herculaneum during this comprehensive excursion from Naples. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to ascend to the summit of Mount Vesuvius!

Tour of Pompeii, Herculaneum & Mount Vesuvius

We will convene at the designated hour in Piazza Garibaldi, Naples, marking the beginning of our journey to Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Vesuvius.

Our first destination is Pompeii, where you can explore at your own pace, guided by an English audio guide. This remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Site offers insights into the lives of its former residents prior to the devastating eruption of Vesuvius. During the two-hour visit, you will uncover the daily existence of the Pompeiians by touring iconic places like the House of the Faun, the House of the Tragic Poet, and the thermal baths adorned with original frescoes from the Lupanar.

Next, we will proceed to Herculaneum, where you'll have an hour and a half of leisure time to investigate the archaeological site. Don’t miss out on the House of the Corinthian Atrium, one of the earliest structures in Herculaneum, the intricate frescoes of the House of the Deer, or the significant thermal baths of the Forum.

Our final segment of the tour takes us to the iconic Vesuvius, the renowned volcano in Campania known for its catastrophic eruption in 79 AD that impacted both Pompeii and Herculaneum. You will enjoy two hours of free time to hike to the volcano's crater while taking in the stunning views of the Gulf of Naples.

Following our adventure in the Vesuvius area, we will commence our return journey to Naples, concluding the excursion approximately 8 hours after our departure.
