Having met your guide at the Porta Grande of the Capodimonte Museum, your private tour of the art gallery will begin. You'll start by learning about the history of the museum, which is located in the Palace of Capodimonte, a former royal residence constructed by the Bourbon King Charles.
After this introduction, you'll head to the first floor of the gallery, where you'll find the Borgia and Farnese Collections, featuring masterpieces by artists such as Botticelli, El Greco, Rubens, and Van Dyck. You'll also find the Porcelain Gallery and the old Armoury on this floor.
Next, you'll visit the second floor, where the National Gallery showcases paintings from the Neapolitan School and contemporary art exhibitions.
Finally, you’ll explore the modern art and photography exhibitions on the third floor, concluding your two-hour private guided tour of the Capodimonte Museum.
