Join us on this tour of the Rione Sanità neighbourhood and admire the wonders of Neapolitan baroque while enjoying the typical flavours of the region.
Tour Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Via Porta San Gennaro, the symbolic entry point to Rione Sanità. Walking through the neighbourhood, you'll see the murals dedicated to Totò and Maradona and numerous historic buildings, including Palazzo Sanfelice and Palazzo dello Spagnolo, both masterpieces of Neapolitan baroque.
We'll discuss the struggle of the neighbourhood's social cooperative, which focuses on the recovery and renovation of the district, while walking along the Alley of Culture, rich in street art.
We will visit the Figlio Velato sculpture in the Basilica di San Severo Fuori le Mura and the crib in the Basilica di Santa Maria della Sanità, symbols of hope and universal integration.
During the tour, we will also taste fried pizza, a typical product of Naples, followed by dessert and coffee from one of the city's notable pastry shops. Once the experience is over, we'll conclude at the starting point after a 2-hour tour.
