Spaccanapoli + The Veiled Christ Tour

Stroll down one of Naples' oldest streets and admire one of the city's most famous sculptures. This guided tour of Spaccanapoli includes entry to the Sansevero Chapel, where you'll see the Veiled Christ.

Tour Description

After meeting in Piazza del Gesù Nuovo at the scheduled time, we will begin our guided tour of Spaccanapoli, a historic street in Naples that divides the old town into north and south. The guide will provide insights into the street's history.

During our walking tour of Spaccanapoli, we will discover charming piazzas and admire the façades of important churches. We will pass through narrow streets and alleyways and reach Piazza San Domenico, home to the San Domenico Maggiore Church.

Next, we will visit the Church of Sant'Angelo a Nilo, known for its striking red architecture and the Nile God statue. The guide will explain the symbolism of this statue.

We will then enter the Sansevero Chapel to view one of the highlights: the Veiled Christ statue, regarded as one of the greatest sculptures due to its realism and detail.

Our guided tour of Spaccanapoli will conclude in Piazza San Gaetano, ending at Naples Cathedral.
