Tour Details

At the designated time, we'll meet at the Piazza San Domenico Maggiore, a few steps away from the Cappella Sansevero, a marvel of Neapolitan Baroque that houses a work of extraordinary beauty: the Veiled Christ.

During the guided visit to the Cappella Sansevero, we'll focus on this piece, which seems to have been sculpted by a supernatural hand. The Veiled Christ is one of the most renowned masterpieces of sculpture in the world. We'll learn about the history of Giuseppe Sanmartino, the creator, and his patron, Raimondo di Sangro.

We'll also find works like Modesty by Antonio Corradini and Il Disinganno by Francesco Queirolo, which make up a collection filled with symbolism. The mysterious Anatomical Machines stand out, featuring 2 human skeletons that reveal the circulatory system, created by doctor Giuseppe Salerno.

After a 35-minute visit, we'll conclude this activity outside the Cappella Sansevero.
