At the time of your choice, we'll meet in front of the National Archaeological Museum ticket office to start a tour of one of the most important collections in Naples.

After a brief introduction, we'll begin our tour of the permanent exhibition by visiting the Farnese collection. This extraordinary sculptural display includes a large compendium of Greco-Latin pieces such as the statue of Hercules, the statue of the Farnese bull, and a number of busts of the Roman emperors.

The tour will then continue in the rooms of Pompeii and Herculaneum, showcasing pieces buried by volcanic lava after the eruption of Vesuvius on August 29, 79 AD. We will discuss the impact of this natural disaster on the Roman Empire and explore additional rooms of the collection. A highlight will be the mosaic of the Battle of Issus, depicting Alexander the Great battling Persian Darius III.

We will conclude the tour by returning to the main entrance of the museum after 2 hours. You can further explore the museum until closing time if desired.
