Skip the lines to visit one of the most notable archaeological sites in Italy and explore the volcano that buried it on this excursion to Vesuvius and Herculaneum from Naples.

Vesuvius & Herculaneum Excursion

We'll meet at 9:30 am at Piazza Garibaldi, where we'll board a bus to travel to Herculaneum, an ancient Roman city known for its wealth and cultural heritage.

Upon arrival, you will receive a skip-the-line ticket to the site, allowing you time to explore at your leisure. Key monuments include the House of the Deer, the Forum Baths, and the House of Neptune and Amphitrite, known for its colorful mosaics.

After three hours at Herculaneum, we will proceed to Mount Vesuvius, enjoying views of the Gulf of Naples en route.

Upon arrival, we will ascend to an altitude of 1,000 meters. You will then take the path independently to the crater of Vesuvius, with views of the Bay of Naples.

You will observe the volcano's slopes formed by solidified lava flows and learn about the eruption that buried Herculaneum and Pompeii in 79 AD.

Following the visit to Vesuvius, we will return to Naples, arriving at the starting point around 4:30 pm.
