At the selected time, we'll meet outside the Sheraton Hotel to begin the guided tour of Nashville. The tour will cover Downtown Nashville, the location of the major landmarks of Tennessee's capital city. Welcome to the Capital of Country Music!
We will see the War Memorial Auditorium, constructed after World War I, the Tennessee Capitol, and sculptures, including one of former U.S. President Andrew Jackson.
The tour will include Sixth Avenue to view Nashville's urban art murals. We will discuss the street decoration project that began in 2016 while observing works by artists like Herakut, Rone, and Curiot, learning about the significance of these colorful pieces.
Next, we will walk through Printer's Alley, passing by legendary bars such as Skull's Rainbow Room. Here, we will explore the history of the city's recording industry, as country music is a major attraction in Nashville.
Continuing, we will admire historic buildings like the Southern Turf, Cohen Building, Ryman Auditorium, and Downtown Presbyterian Church, while sharing interesting facts about each site for photo opportunities.
