With this tour of Graycliff Chocolatier, you'll explore the history of chocolate in the Bahamas and participate in a chocolate tasting.

Tour Options

During the booking process for the Graycliff Chocolatier, you can select two types of experiences. Both options start at the factory's entrance on Hill Street.

Standard Tour (15 Minutes)

This tour begins with the history of cacao's origins in the Bahamas, discussing its significance over hundreds of years. You will learn about the cultural importance of cacao and its early uses.

The tour includes an exploration of the factory to understand the chocolate elaboration process, from cacao seed roasting to grinding. At the end, you will try two types of Graycliff chocolate.

Tour + Chocolate Workshop (1 Hour)

This option includes the same tour as mentioned but adds a chocolate-making workshop.

You will don proper attire and receive instructions on process and techniques. You will make chocolate bars, bonbons, truffles, and chocolate pops using local ingredients. The workshop concludes with a chance to taste your creations.

Schedules: the tour with the chocolate workshop occurs daily at 9:45 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm.
