Hiking Tour Overview
Day 1: Arrival at Torres del Paine
Our journey begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Puerto Natales, followed by a bus ride to Laguna Amarga. Here, we will switch to a minibus to reach the Visitor Centre of Torres del Paine National Park, a highlight of Chile's natural heritage.
Upon arrival, we will set out on an exhilarating hike within Torres del Paine. A brief rest will allow us to enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing our trek to the Base de las Torres viewpoint. Covering a distance of 13.6 miles (22 kilometers) amidst breathtaking landscapes, we’ll end the day at a designated campsite where dinner and overnight accommodations await.
This physically engaging trek of 24km (14.9 miles) offers stunning vistas of the majestic Andean peaks that rise in southern Chile. An experience not to be missed!
Day 2: Exploring Torres del Paine
After a hearty breakfast at the campsite, we’ll commence our second hiking journey around Torres del Paine. This leg involves a scenic 14km (8.69 miles) walk through one of the park’s most picturesque areas.
Following a lunch break, we'll arrive at the iconic Cuernos del Paine, renowned for its remarkable mountain ridges. Absorb the beauty of this geological marvel before continuing our hike toward the shores of Nordenskjöld Lake.
The day concludes with dinner and a restful night at a campsite located beside the lake.
Day 3: Valle del Francés and Torres del Paine
The day begins with a warm breakfast at camp. We’ll then embark on our third hiking excursion, tackling a 12km (7.45 miles) route leading us towards the Valle del Francés viewpoint. This scenic spot is perfect for capturing stunning photographs!
From the viewpoint, we’ll take in the breathtaking views of the Hoja, Espada, and Fortaleza ridges, as well as Nordenskjöld and Pehoé Lakes. After appreciating these stunning Patagonian waters, we’ll indulge in a light picnic snack before heading back to our camp for the night, where a delicious dinner awaits.
Day 4: Torres del Paine - Grey Glacier
Following a comforting breakfast at camp, our fourth day kicks off with an 11km (6.8 miles) hike. Along this new path, we’ll take several breaks to marvel at the incredible views as we approach the Grey Glacier, a magnificent feature of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field.
The hike concludes at our campsite by Grey Lake. Those interested can enjoy a walk across the suspension bridge of Grey Glacier or partake in a kayaking excursion on Lake Grey that evening.
Dinner will be served at the camp, where we’ll also spend our last night in the region.
Day 5: From Grey Glacier to Puerto Natales
On the final day, we will have breakfast by Lake Grey before beginning our hike back to the refuge we visited earlier in the tour. From the pier, participants can opt for a brief 30-minute catamaran ride on Lake Pehoé.
Those preferring to stay ashore may explore the lake’s edges. We will then reconvene at our camping site to embark on our return journey to Puerto Natales via minibus and bus, with an expected arrival time of around 10 PM.
