Meet the vicuñas and guanacos that live in the Pampa Galeras Bárbara D'Achille National Reserve with this fantastic trip from Nazca.
Pampa Galeras Barbara D'Achille Trip
At 8 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Nazca and travel along the Nazca - Cuzco interoceanic highway for two hours, allowing you to admire the landscapes of the Peruvian Andes and the Cerro Blanco, the highest dune in the world.
Upon arrival at Pampa Galeras Bárbara D'Achille, located at more than 13,500 feet, you will observe vicuñas and guanacos, species of camelid living freely in this region. We will discuss their characteristics as they are closely related to llamas and alpacas.
A visit to the museum of the reserve will provide insights into the wild fauna of this area of Peru. We will share information about the Vicuña Project and initiatives by the Andean people to protect this endangered species.
Lastly, we will spend an additional hour and a half exploring the area to observe these animals closely. After the exploration, we will return to Nazca, concluding the tour at 2 pm.
