Meet the vicuñas and guanacos that live in the Pampa Galeras Bárbara D'Achille National Reserve with this fantastic trip from Nazca.

Pampa Galeras Barbara D'Achille Trip

At 8 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Nazca and travel along the Nazca - Cuzco interoceanic highway for two hours. On the way, you will admire the landscapes of the Peruvian Andes and the Cerro Blanco, the highest dune in the world.

Upon arrival at Pampa Galeras Bárbara D'Achille, located at over 13,500 feet altitude, we will begin observing vicuñas and guanacos, species of camelids that inhabit this Andean plateau. We will explore the characteristics of these animals, which are related to llamas and alpacas.

We will enter the reserve's museum to learn about the local wild fauna. Information about the Vicuña Project and efforts to protect this endangered species will also be provided.

Afterward, we will head outside for a closer look at these animals, and you can photograph them. After an hour and a half of exploration in Pampa Galeras, we will return to the bus for the trip back to Nazca.

The tour concludes at 2 pm.
