Visit one of the most beautiful cities in southern Sri Lanka, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with this Galle Day Trip. Immerse yourself in its exciting history with this tour from Negombo.

Private Galle Day Trip

At 7 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Negombo and head to Galle, one of the most historic cities in Sri Lanka.

First, we will visit the famous Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by the Portuguese in the 16th century to protect a key port in the Indian Ocean.

The excursion will continue to Galle's southern beaches, where we will visit a turtle farm and nearby coves where locals practice stilt fishing, a unique technique developed in this region of Sri Lanka.

After an hour of free time to eat, we will visit the Tsunami Museum to learn about the 2004 tidal wave that devastated the Indian Ocean coast, inspiring films like The Impossible.

Our final stops will include a herb garden and the Moonstone Mine, reputed to contain stones from the moon itself.

The tour will conclude with a return to your hotel in Negombo, arriving at 7 pm.
