On this tour of Neiva, we'll explore the most authentic places in the capital of the department of Huila, discovering Colombian culture and history.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Neiva to begin the tour of one of Colombia's vibrant cities.
During the tour of Huila's capital, we'll see streets, museums, viewpoints, parks, memorials, bars, and cafes. In Santander Park, we'll learn about the city's history since its foundation over 400 years ago. We'll also visit Parque de la Música Jorge Villamil Cordobés, where small local music groups will perform.
We will discuss the significance of various memorials, including Cacica Gaitana, an important indigenous leader. More interesting facts await us at the Central Cemetery, the Archaeological Museum, and the Departmental Library.
The tour concludes with a delicious achira sponge cake, arepas, and a cup of authentic Colombian coffee in Central Park, allowing us to rest. After a 4-hour tour, we'll say goodbye at your hotel.
