Tatacoa Desert Day Trip

Description

At the indicated time, we will pick you up at your hotel in Neiva. We will drive to the Tatacoa Desert, approximately over an hour away.

Before reaching the desert, we will stop in Villavieja for a Colombian coffee and a short boat ride on the Magdalena River to observe local fauna. Following this, we'll take a guided tour of the town and the Paleontological Museum.

Next, we will enter the desert, walking through its orange landscape and exploring key points such as the Valley of the Ghosts, Valley of the Xilopalos, and the Strait of the Señoritas. We will also swim in a pool sourced from local springs and enjoy Colombian gastronomy for refreshment.

In the afternoon, we will visit the Cuzco Labyrinth, noting mud formations up to 20 meters (65 feet) high. We will take a walk through this landscape and end the afternoon watching the sunset.

At night, we will visit the Astronomical Observatory to observe stars, planets, and constellations. With expert astronomers, we will gain insights into celestial movements during our stargazing experience.

Finally, we will return you to your hotel in Neiva after 13 hours of travel.
