Frigiliana is a notable town in Spain. This tour offers a journey from Nerja to the picturesque location.

Frigiliana Half-Day Tour Itinerary

The tour begins with hotel pickup in Nerja, followed by a 20-minute drive to Frigiliana, situated in the Axarquía region of Malaga.

Frigiliana is a member of the ‘Association of the Prettiest Towns in Spain’. A guided walk through the old town center will highlight its historical significance, especially the Mudejar neighborhood, which showcases preserved Muslim architectural elements from the Reconquista period.

As we navigate the narrow lanes filled with whitewashed buildings, notable landmarks include Renaissance sites like the Palace of Condes (“El Ingenio”) and Baroque structures such as the 17th-century church of San Antonio. After the guided tour, participants will enjoy free time to explore at their leisure.

The tour proceeds with a visit to El Acebuchal, located 5 miles north of Frigiliana. This hamlet, once abandoned, gained notoriety as ‘the village of ghosts’ after its residents fled in 1948. It has been restored since 1998. A local lunch will be served in one of its well-known restaurants, featuring a starter (salad or soup) and a main course that varies daily.

Post-lunch, participants will return to their hotel.
