Frigiliana Half-Day Tour Itinerary

Your journey begins with hotel pickup in Nerja, followed by a 20-minute drive to Frigiliana, located in the Axarquía region of Malaga.

Frigiliana is a member of the ‘Association of the Prettiest Towns in Spain’. You will enjoy a guided walk through the old town center, exploring its historical significance. The Mudejar neighborhood is notable for its preserved Islamic architectural influences from the period after the Christian reconquest.

Your tour will cover notable Renaissance and Baroque sites, including the Palace of Condes and the church of San Antonio, dating back to the 17th century. Following the guided portion, you will have free time to explore at your leisure.

The tour continues 5 miles north to El Acebuchal, known as ‘the village of ghosts’ after its residents left due to Franco’s Civil Guard in 1948. The village was abandoned until restoration began in 1998. You will enjoy a local lunch at a restaurant, which includes a starter (salad or soup) and a varying main course.

After lunch, you will be taken back to your hotel.
