Tour of the White Towns

Hidden among the mountains of the region of Axarquía in Malaga, the pretty white towns will captivate from the very first instant you set eyes on them.

Tour Details

After picking you up at your accommodation in Nerja, we'll head to the Axarquía. On this tour, we'll explore the Moorish history and the architecture of these white villages.

Our first stop will be Árchez, where we'll stroll through charming narrow streets and admire its popular architecture.

In six minutes by car, we'll reach Canillas de Albaida, less than 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) from Árchez. We'll drive through its main points of interest and stop at the main square for coffee surrounded by white houses and the old village church.

Next, we'll visit Salares, the smallest village of Axarquía. We will learn about its history, from Roman times to the Christian era and the Arab occupation. This is a place where time seems to stand still.

Finally, we'll head to Sayalonga for a delicious tapas lunch. We'll explore its streets, including the narrowest in Andalusia. The lunch will consist of a starter and main course made with local ingredients. You'll dine at one of the best restaurants in the area.

After lunch, we'll return to Nerja, arriving 9 hours later.
