Join us on this small group tour of Lantau Island—we'll visit the Lantau Giant Buddha, the Tai O fishing village, and more.
Tour Details
After meeting at the Tung Chung Station, we will take a scenic cable car ride to Lantau Island for views of the green surroundings and the Macao Bridge.
Upon arrival, we will trek up 268 steps to the Giant Buddha, a large bronze statue completed in 1993 located in the village of Ngong Ping, near the Po Lin Monastery. This site represents the harmony between man and nature, and between people and faith, and serves as an important center of Buddhism in Hong Kong.
Next, we will visit Tai O, a traditional fishing village where you can observe a different lifestyle compared to the city. You will see stilt houses and have the opportunity to taste local snacks and drinks.
The tour lasts a total of 6 hours and concludes back at the Tung Chung metro station, allowing you to continue exploring Hong Kong's outlets or return to your hotel. The guide will provide directions for an easy return.
