Tour Details
After meeting up outside the Tung Chung Station, we will travel by scenic cable car to Lantau Island, enjoying views of the lush environment and the Macao Bridge.
Upon arrival, we will trek up 268 steps to the Giant Buddha, a bronze statue completed in 1993, located in the village of Ngong Ping. The statue, near the Po Lin Monastery, symbolizes the harmony between man, nature, and faith, serving as a significant center of Buddhism in Hong Kong.
Next, we will head to Tai O, a traditional fishing village, where we can observe a way of life distinct from the city. Highlights include the stilt houses and the opportunity to taste local snacks and drinks.
After a total of 6 hours, the tour will conclude back at the Tung Chung metro station, allowing you to explore Hong Kong's outlets or return to your hotel. The guide will provide directions for the quickest return.
