Join us on this small group tour of Lantau Island, where we will visit the Lantau Giant Buddha, the Tai O fishing village, and other notable places.
Tour Details
We will meet outside the Tung Chung Station and travel by scenic cable car to Lantau Island. The ride offers views of the green landscape and the Macao Bridge.
Upon arrival, we will trek up 268 steps to see the Giant Buddha, a large bronze statue completed in 1993 located in the village of Ngong Ping. This statue, next to the Po Lin Monastery, symbolizes the relationship between man and nature, and is a key center of Buddhism in Hong Kong.
Next, we will visit Tai O, a traditional fishing village. Here, we will see stilt houses and have the opportunity to taste local snacks and drinks.
The tour lasts a total of 6 hours, concluding back at the Tung Chung metro station. You may continue exploring Hong Kong's outlets or return to your hotel, with guidance provided by the tour guide for an efficient route.
