After meeting outside the Tung Chung Station, we'll travel by cable car to Lantau Island, enjoying views of the surroundings and the Macao Bridge.
Upon arrival, we'll trek up 268 steps to see the Giant Buddha, a bronze statue completed in 1993 in the village of Ngong Ping. Located next to the Po Lin Monastery, it symbolizes the relationship between man, nature, and faith, serving as a major center of Buddhism in Hong Kong.
Next, we will visit Tai O, a traditional fishing village offering insight into a lifestyle different from the bustling city. We will explore the stilt houses and sample local snacks and drinks.
