The musical tells the tale of Aladdin, an 18-year-old who survives in the streets of Agrabah with his monkey, Abu. His life changes upon discovering a magic lamp containing a genie who grants him three wishes, which he uses to pursue Jasmine, the Sultan’s daughter. However, Aladdin faces challenges when the villainous Jafar steals the lamp, forcing him to save Jasmine and the kingdom.

Theater Details

New Amsterdam Theater, opened in 1903 and located in Times Square, hosts Aladdin. It has a seating capacity of 1,801 and was renovated in 1997 to feature Disney musicals.
