Set off on a day trip from New York to Philadelphia and explore its historic district. You'll also visit the home of the Amish and enjoy an Amish buggy ride through the countryside.

Philadelphia and Amish Country Day Trip

At 6:30 am, meet outside the Port Authority in central Manhattan to board a comfortable air-conditioned van or coach. The journey will take you through New Jersey and Pennsylvania to Philadelphia, known as The City of Brotherly Love.

Upon arrival in the historic area, visit the Liberty Bell, a symbol of freedom, along with Independence National Park and Congress Hall. Stroll along Elfreth's Alley, the oldest continuously inhabited street in the country.

Continue your sightseeing tour of Philadelphia, including the Financial District and Benjamin Franklin Parkway, exploring the city's vibrant historic center.

Before leaving Philadelphia, see the Rocky Steps, leading to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Next, head to Lancaster County, home to the oldest Amish settlements.

Here, you'll have time for lunch at the marketplace and to purchase handmade souvenirs.

After lunch, experience an authentic Amish buggy ride through the farmland and learn about the Amish lifestyle without modern technology. Afterwards, return to New York, arriving in the evening.
