Wicked: The Untold Story of the Witches of Oz opened on Broadway in October 2003, winning three Tony Awards and six Drama Desk Awards. Its original cast album received a Grammy Award. The production is acclaimed for its visionary design.

Storyline

Based on the novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire, the musical narrates the story of Elphaba Thropp, born with emerald skin, and her friend Glinda, showcasing their friendship and transformation into the Wicked Witch of the West and the Good Witch, respectively.

Availability

Wicked is performed eight times a week at the largest Broadway theatre. Tickets sell out quickly, thus advance booking is recommended.

Seating

The Theatre allocates seats together at the time of booking on a best-available seat basis. Tickets are available for the Orchestra, Front Mezzanine, Mid-Mezzanine, or Rear Mezzanine zones.

Gershwin Theatre

Gershwin Theatre hosts Wicked, being the largest Broadway theatre with 1,933 seats. Opened in 1972 as Uris Theatre, it was renamed in 1983 to honor composer George Gershwin.
