Storyline

Based on the novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire, the musical narrates the friendship between Elphaba Thropp, born with emerald green skin, and her friend Glinda, highlighting their journey from friendship to Elphaba's transformation into the Wicked Witch and Glinda into the Good Witch.

Availability

Wicked is performed eight times a week at the largest Broadway theatre. Due to high demand, tickets sell out quickly, so advance booking is recommended.

Gershwin Theatre

Gershwin Theatre hosts Wicked the Musical and is the largest Broadway theatre with a capacity of 1,933. Opened in 1972 as Uris Theatre, it was renamed Gershwin in 1983 in honor of composer George Gershwin.
