Bandia Reserve & Lac Rose Private Tour

We will collect you from your hotel in Saly early in the morning and drive to the Bandia Nature Reserve. Inside this wilderness area, you'll encounter beautiful forests and various species of wild animals native to the African Savannah.

On the way, we will pass majestic baobab trees, unique to this region. Our guide will explain their cultural significance and use as burial chambers.

While on the route in an offroading vehicle, expect to see a variety of species including birds, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, rhinos, monkeys, ostriches, and hyenas. Bring your camera to capture these moments.

Following the safari, we will head north to Lac Rose (Pink Lake). Upon arrival, you will have free time to enjoy a meal at local restaurants.

After this, we will tour the lake and surrounding sand dunes in the 4x4 vehicle. The guide will explain how the lake got its color. If time permits, you may enjoy a brief dip in the salty waters. We plan to return to Saly by around 6 pm.

Bathing in Lac Rose

Bathing in Lac Rose will occur only if time allows, providing potentially 15 minutes to enjoy the pink waters.

Due to heavy rains in the summer of 2024, the lake has accumulated water and lost its color. Salt extraction and tours have resumed, yet the color has not returned.
