Bandia Reserve & Lac Rose Private Tour

We will collect you from your hotel in Saly early in the morning and drive to Bandia Nature Reserve. Inside this protected area, you'll encounter forests and diverse wild animals native to the African Savannah.

On the route, we'll see baobab trees, important to the Senegalese people and often used as burial chambers.

In our offroading vehicle, we'll view various wildlife such as birds, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, rhinos, monkeys, ostriches, and hyenas. Bring your camera to capture these sights.

After the safari, we'll head to Lac Rose (Pink Lake). You'll have free time to eat at local restaurants. Afterward, we will tour the lake and its surrounding sand dunes. The guide will explain how the lake got its color. If time allows, you may enjoy a refreshing dip in the salty waters.

We will return to Saly around 6 pm.

Bathing in Lac Rose

If time permits, you'll have 15 minutes to enjoy the pink waters of Lac Rose. Due to heavy rains in summer 2024, the lake has lost its color. Salt extraction activities continue, but the lake's pink hue has not returned, and it is unclear when it will be restored.
