Enjoy Senegal's best tourist attraction when you take our exciting safari of Bandia Reserve. You'll discover various species of animals native to Africa and visit the beautiful Lac Rose saltwater lake.
Bandia Reserve & Lac Rose Private Tour
We'll collect you from your hotel in Saly early in the morning and drive to the Bandia Nature Reserve. Inside this area, you'll encounter forests and various species of wild animals, native to the African Savannah.
On the route, we'll pass baobab trees, which hold cultural significance for the Senegalese people, as they are often used as burial chambers.
In our offroading vehicle, we'll see wildlife including birds, giraffes, buffalos, zebras, rhinos, monkeys, ostriches, and hyenas. Don't forget your camera.
After the safari, we head north along the coast to Lac Rose (Pink Lake). Upon arrival, you'll have free time to eat at a local restaurant.
We'll then tour the lake and the sand dunes surrounding it, while the guide shares information about the lake's color. If time allows, you'll have the option to enjoy a brief dip in the salty waters.
Finally, we'll return to Saly at around 6 pm.
Bathing in Lac Rose
We'll bathe in Lac Rose only if time permits, allowing 15 minutes to enjoy the pink waters. Due to heavy rains in summer 2024, the lake has lost its color, though salt extraction activities and tours have resumed.
