Travel into the heart of Senegal and attend a mass at the Keur Moussa monastery when you take our trip from Saly. You will hear the Gregorian chanting of the monks, accompanied by traditional West African instruments.

Keur Moussa Monastery Trip

We will depart early in the morning from your hotel in Saly and head north into Senegal's coastal region of Thiès.

Upon arrival at the Keur Moussa monastery, the Benedictine monks celebrate mass every Sunday, accompanied by music from traditional West African instruments, including the kora, balafon, and djembe.

The ceremony lasts for around an hour and showcases elements from the region's diverse cultures that developed historically due to its strategic coastal location.

After the mass, we will visit the shop where artisan products, handcrafted by the monks, are available for purchase as souvenirs.

Finally, we will return to Saly by bus, arriving at around 12 pm.
