Keur Moussa Monastery Trip

We will depart early in the morning from your hotel in Saly and head north into the coastal region of Thiès.

Upon arrival at the Keur Moussa monastery, the Benedictine monks celebrate mass every Sunday, featuring music played on traditional West African instruments such as the kora, balafon, and djembe.

Experience the monks' passion as they recite Gregorian chants during the hour-long ceremony, which incorporates elements from Senegal's diverse cultural history due to its strategic coastal location.

After mass, you can visit the shop offering artisan products handcrafted by the monks. You may choose to purchase a souvenir of your experience.

Finally, we will return to Saly by bus, arriving around 12 am.
